Elizaveta Potapova joined PPMI in July 2021 as a researcher. She has an educational background in public policy and education studies and hands-on experience in empirical research with human subjects which involves planning and conducting interviews and analysis of qualitative data. In May 2021 Elizaveta has completed her Ph.D. dissertation at Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations, Central European University. Her project, “Making Sense of Academic Freedom in Russia” was focused on the experiences of Russian academics at their workplaces, their sources of liberation and restriction. Elizaveta’s main areas of interest are sociology of higher education, as well as education policies and technologies. Currently, she works on the project “Experiential-Learning Resource Bank – Lessons from Vocational Education and Training (VET)”. Elizaveta is a native speaker in Russian and proficient in English.
