NextGen Online Platforms: join our online foresight sessions!

On behalf of the European Commission, PPMI, together with TNO and Verian, is hosting a series of online foresight sessions exploring the future of the EU’s platform economy in 2035. These sessions will explore the key trends, uncertainties and future scenarios across the following four topics:  

  • Future of Government-as-a-platform: 23 April | 09:30 – 12:30 CET 
  • Future of intellectual property (IP) in platformisation settings: 25 April | 09:30 – 12:30 CET 
  • Platformisation of health care: 26 April | 09:30 – 12:30 CET 
  • Future of digital citizen participation platforms: 16 May | 09:30h – 12:30h CET

Attendees will engage in collaborative discussions to identify the main trends shaping each topic's future and explore potential uncertainties associated with the EU's platform economy in 2035. These sessions welcome participation from a diverse range of stakeholders, including experts, policymakers, civil society as well as industry representatives. 

The online foresight sessions are being organised as part of the Participatory Foresight into Next Generation Platforms, a 2-year project during which the future of a total of 10 topics are explored in collaboration with experts, industry leaders, policymakers and civil society representatives.
