Hedvika Janečkova

Hedvika has experience with conducting research supporting better informed and evidence-based decision-making mainly in areas related to gender and intersecting inequalities, social inclusion, migration, employment and working conditions. She holds an MA in Critical Gender Studies from the Central European University in Budapest and a BA in Political Science and European Studies from the Palacky University in Olomouc.

Prior to joining PPMI as a researcher in 2018, Hedvika worked at the Multicultural Center Prague, where she carried out research on active labour market policies, job quality and social inclusion and coordinated international projects on labour migration and precarious employment. She also contributed to the last update of the Gender Equality Index and monitoring of the Beijing Platform for Action’s implementation in the EU while working as a trainee at the European Institute for Gender Equality. Hedvika gained further first-hand policy-relevant knowledge during her internship at the International Labour Organization. At the ILO, she assisted in technical backstopping and implementation of technical cooperation projects concerning gender, equality, diversity and conditions of work and employment in Central and Eastern Europe.
