PPMI | Part of the Verian Group to support the rollout of the joint European degree label

PPMI | Part of the Verian Group, in collaboration with ICF, is supporting the DG EAC of the European Commission and its designated Policy Lab in advancing the implementation of the joint European degree label, a key initiative furthering the development of the European Education Area. Our work focuses on developing comprehensive guidelines and certificate templates for the joint European degree label, ensuring that higher education institutions and quality assurance agencies across the EU can apply the new framework consistently and effectively. Through close engagement with the Policy Lab, the FOREU4ALL community of practice, and national experts, we will co-create evidence-based, user-friendly tools to operationalise the Council Resolution adopted in May 2025.

PPMI | Part of the Verian Group leads the development of practical and validated guidelines for the label’s rollout and contributes to the design of standardised certificate templates. We will coordinate expert groups, organise technical workshops, and run EU-wide consultations to ensure that the resulting tools reflect diverse national contexts and lessons learned from previous Erasmus+ policy experimentation projects on joint degrees. Our aim is to ensure that the European degree label can be seamlessly adopted by higher education institutions and quality assurance bodies by mid-2026.

Furthermore, we will build capacity and shared understanding to ensure a coherent and high-quality implementation of the joint European degree label. We will deliver training materials, interactive webinars, and explanatory resources that help quality assurance agencies and universities interpret and apply the new guidelines in practice. This work will culminate in expert-led sessions at the European Degree Forum 2026 and the EAIE Conference 2026, fostering shared understanding and consistent implementation across Europe’s higher education systems.

This project marks an important milestone in strengthening the European Education Area by helping to build a more connected, innovative, and globally competitive European higher education system, and we are proud of being a part of this transformative step.
