PPMI investigates consumer perceptions and behaviours towards interpersonal communication services provided by digital platforms

PPMI has recently launched a new study on Consumer behaviour towards digital platforms as a means for communication. Its results will help our client ’ the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) to understand how consumers perceive and interact with messenger apps and social media services provided by digital platforms.

The rapid growth of digital platforms has drawn the scrutiny of regulators all over the world in a number of areas, from employment to competition, to name a few. In the recent years, PPMI has been increasingly involved in providing various EU bodies with relevant evidence. In this specific study, we will look into communication services provided by digital platforms as substitutes for their more traditional counterparts, such as mobile phone plans. In a multi-national consumer survey and focus groups, we will investigate consumer perceptions, behaviours and preferences related to the use of digital platforms.

The project will take around eight months to complete.
