The new Research and Innovation Action “Trends on educational inequalities over time and successful interventions that contribute to reverse them” (Revers-ED), funded by Horizon2020 will soon begin, encompassing a consortium of 12 European institutions, including PPMI.
This project tackles the persistent issue of educational inequalities affecting vulnerable student groups, like those with low socioeconomic status or migratory backgrounds. It aims to shed light on these disparities by analysing existing educational data and studying effective interventions. Through retrospective cohort studies and longitudinal analysis, the project seeks to understand how educational inequalities have evolved and how successful interventions can improve learning outcomes. Ultimately, the goal is to translate these findings into policies and practices that promote more inclusive educational systems and address inequalities in the long run.
PPMI’s primary tasks will revolve around leading the case-study work package providing methodological and conceptual guidance, and leading a task in integration of project findings for policy. Overall, PPMI’s expertise will be imperative in project tasks related to policy-relevant data analysis and converting scholarly discoveries into findings relevant for policymaking.
This project closely related to the recently finalized PIONEERED project, which will serve as a foundation for our active participation in Revers-ED.
