PPMI presents the Resilient Europe study Societal Challenge 6 results to the Cluster 2 Programme Committee
On June 7, Kristina Zharkalliu presented Societal Challenge 6 - Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies (SC6) findings from the Phase 1 Resilient Europe Study to the Cluster 2 Programme Committee.
Kristina highlighted that SC6 demonstrated flexibility in responding to the needs of EU society and reacting to emerging challenges (e.g., migration crisis, social tensions, political unrest, Brexit). The evaluation study found a significant and systematic uptake of SC6 research at the EU level. According to the study findings, the high uptake of research results in SC6 was partly attributed to the efforts made by the Research Executive Agency; however, uptake at local, regional and national levels was challenging. Furthermore, the study concluded that the participation of civil society and non-governmental organisations could benefit from improvement in the next Framework Programme.
The presentation was well received and appreciated by the delegates from the Members States and the EC officials.
