PPMI | Part of the Verian Group has successfully completed a project supporting the European Commission (DG RTD) in strengthening the monitoring and assessment of industrial research and innovation in biotechnology and advanced manufacturing. The project addressed the growing need for robust evidence on competitiveness, economic security, and the Green Deal by developing an operational data warehouse and analytical framework covering companies, technologies, and global value chains.
As part of the assignment, our team designed and implemented a large-scale data infrastructure integrating multiple international data sources, alongside more than 50 indicators capturing investment, competitiveness, and supply chain dynamics. A user-friendly dashboard was developed to enable policy-oriented analysis, including keyword-based technology mapping and data visualisation tools.
The project also delivered strategic positioning reports and tailored analytical outputs to support EU policy development. The resulting platform provides the European Commission with a scalable and flexible tool for ongoing monitoring of industrial innovation, supporting evidence-based decision-making and future policy initiatives.
