NESET 9 aimed to enhance eu-level policy development and cooperation in education and training. The primary objective was to support and complement Member States' effort to improve and innovate their education systems by promoting quality, equity, and equal opportunities for all. NESET serves specifically as an advisory network to DG EAC, providing rigorous scientific support and expertise on the social dimension of education and training across all levels and types of education.
A key challenge faced was ensuring the production of high quality, policy relevant outputs while coordinating effectively the diverse experts in charge (NESET comprise 70 core members and 150 affiliated experts).
We implemented a robust methodology to deliver the core deliverables effectively:
* Coordination of output production (analytical reports and ad-hoc reports)
* Provision of expert support (offering targeted expertise such as for the Expert Group on supportive learning environments for groups at risk of underachievement and for supporting well-being at school
* Developing research trends, which summarise key developments in the social aspects of education and using NLP tools to enhance its production
* Active dissemination and development of a strategy to enhance the visibility of the network
