The European Expert Network on Economics of Education (EENEE) is a network of academic experts providing high-quality research and expert policy advice on the economics of education funded by the Erasmus+ Programme and coordinated by PPMI (3 years in a row).
The main objective of the EENEE coordination team is to continously ensure successful and even communication between field experts and the European Commission‘s Directorate-General of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC). While working together with the experts, network has a mission to become a leading knowledge broker, advisor and knowledge disseminator in the economics of education and training by delivering analytical reports and policy briefs, ad hoc reports and summaries of the latest research trends in the field.
In 2023, EENEE delivered three analytical reports, two ad hoc reports and two reports on the latest research trends. As a knowledge broker, EENEE provided the following analytical reports and policy briefs:
- Evidence-based solutions to teacher shortages (EENEE-NESET joint analytical report).
- Digital transformation in blended learning environments.
- Harnessing the potential of non-formal education for sustainability.
As an advisor, EENEE offered reliable, independent and rigorous scientific support to the European Commission through replies to ad-hoc questions:
- Alternative financing models and student loans in higher education.
- Grace conversion in the context of the recognition of learning mobility.
Additionally, the EENEE team produced two reports on the latest research trends in the field of economics of education:
As a knowledge disseminator, EENEE spread the knowledge through various channels, including the dedicated website, quaterly Newsletters and other professional networks such as LinkedIn. Key messages of the delivered reports assisted the European Commission’s annual analyses, Action Plans, Working Group events and other policy monitoring reports.
