The first phase of providing support to DG EAC's analytical capacity has successfully concluded, delivering key insights and expertise to support the European Commission's work on education and training. A network of national experts from the 27 EU Member States, covering all levels and sectors of education, provided valuable input across critical areas, including the monitoring of education policy reforms, current challenges in national systems, the implementation of European Education Area objectives or the assessment of investments under RRF and insights on evaluating the effectiveness of education measures.
During the project, the network tackled a range of timely topics, including PISA results, special needs education, learning for sustainability and the role of AI in education, among many others.
By providing independent expertise to inform decision-making and strategy, these efforts of the network have contributed to the various activities of the Commission, such as the Education and Training Monitor and the European Semester.
