PPMI to coordinate a network of national experts on education for the European Commission
In the next year and a half, PPMI will coordinate a network of independent national experts intended to strengthen the analytical capacity of DG EAC's country desk officers and this way reinforce DG EAC's country-specific expertise.
Among other activities, national experts will analyse ongoing policy reforms, assess the implementation of the objectives of the European Education Area, country-specific recommendations under the European Semester, identify new and upcoming education policy orientations, assess possible areas of investment in education and the use of the Cohesion Policy funds as well as the implementation of investments and reforms under the Recovery and Resilience facility, etc. This will include preparing the country briefings, assessing reforms and country progress in the area of education, contributing to comparative studies, preparing and delivering presentations, attending meetings and providing other kinds of ad hoc support/expertise to DG EAC.
The experts' network covers all 27 EU Member States, and all levels and sectors of education (except for vocational education and training).
