A Guide for SMEs: Discover the Business Digitalisation Toolbox!
The Smart Industrial Remoting study’s Business Digitalisation toolbox is now published on the European Commission's EDIH Knowledge Hub!
SMEs stand to gain significant benefits from digitalising. However, SMEs and companies with low digital maturity often face challenges in adopting digital technologies. Evidence suggests that such companies may lack the resources and expertise to initiate their digitalisation journeys.
Recognising the challenges faced by SMEs when digitalising, the Business Digitalisation toolbox aims to empower SMEs and companies of low digital maturity, along with their supporting ecosystems, to harness the advantages of digitalisation through providing targeted advice.
It presents a cross-industry digitalisation pathway for businesses covering five digital transformation processes: planning, implementation, collaboration, capacity building and management.
Each step of the digitalisation pathway contains:
- An overview of its importance in the context of business digitalisation.
- The main goals associated with the step.
- A list of actions and practical tips.
- Company case studies.
- Links to relevant resources for further reading.
The toolbox was prepared by PPMI on behalf of the European Commission as part of the Smart Industrial Remoting study.
