Gender Equality Index in the EU Member States: policy context and statistical analysis
The general purpose of this single provider framework contract is to support the monitoring and assessment of performance in gender equality in the EU and Member States by providing the evidence on major achievements and setbacks, as measured by the Gender Equality Index. Activated with specific requests for services, the tasks within this contract (LOT 1) are structured across three deliverables: conducting country data analysis (D 1.1); policy and contextual analysis (D 1.2); and producing communication materials (D 1.3). By providing in-depth, accurate analysis of Index-related data and information and analysis of national policy developments, the deliverables aim to bolster the interpretation, relevance and outreach of the Index results at a country level.
Under this single provider framework contract, PPMI currently carries out preparation of country factsheets for the Gender Equality Index 2020. Aiming to bolster the interpretation, relevance and outreach of the Index results at a country level, we complement analysis of quantitative indicators with qualitative information collected from country experts. The Index factsheets will thus newly also include an overview of national policy and legal developments in 28 EU Member States.
