In late October 2019, PPMI Research director Egidijus Barcevičius, Research manager Vaida Gineikytė and Researcher Luka Klimavičiūtė took part in a Policy Lab held at JRC Seville, as part of the study on Exploring Digital Government Transformation in the EU: understanding public sector innovation in a data-driven society.

The Lab focused on the conceptual framework for analysing the drivers, barriers and pathways of digital government transformation in Europe. PPMI-led consortium, consisting of Open Evidence, Rand Europe, Polimi and Martel Innovate, presented the results of their hard work and received feedback from acknowledged academics and practitioners in the field of digital government, including representatives from the UN, the OECD, various DGs of the European Commission, as well top universities in Europe and the U.S.

To illustrate the framework, our team presented interim results from the “Tvarkau Vilnių” case study, which participants found interesting for the crowd-sourcing elements both in the creation of the application and its outputs.
