PPMI launches the evaluation of the information policy on the CAP

In December 2019, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Agriculture (DG AGRI) contracted PPMI to evaluate the information policy on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The information measures aim to supply coherent, objective and comprehensive information, both inside and outside the Union, in order to give an overall picture of the CAP.

These measures are implemented at the initiative of the Commission or co-financed by the Commission and implemented by the third parties. They are meant to help explain the CAP and to raise public awareness of its content and objectives, to inform farmers and other parties active in rural areas and to promote the European model of agriculture, as well as to help citizens understand it and also to reinstate consumer confidence following crises through information campaigns.

The objective of this evaluation study will be to examine the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency and EU added value of the information policy on the CAP. The evaluation will be implemented in 10 months, in cooperation with ’IR GmbH and AFC Consulting Group AG.
