PPMI is awarded a single provider framework contract with the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) to conduct a country analysis of the Gender Equality Index-related data and policy developments.
The Gender Equality Index is one of the major tools which enables to tell a story of progress and its sustainability in the area of gender equality in the EU. Each year, EIGE scores the EU Member States and the EU as a whole to see how far they are from reaching gender equality. Ultimately, the Index supports policymakers to develop more effective gender equality measures.
Under this single provider framework contract, PPMI will support EIGE by carrying out activities that aim to bolster the interpretation, relevance and outreach of the Index results at a country level. Activated with specific requests over the duration of the framework contract, the indicative activities, which PPMI can be responsible for, are: (1) conducting country data analysis, (2) policy and contextual analysis and (3) producing communication materials.
The activities follow up on the previous collaboration of PPMI and EIGE on the preparation of country factsheets for the EU Member States for the Gender Equality Index 2019.
