The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is the Number 1 global authority in the field of education. It implements projects which contribute to the achievement of Quality Education for All and its research in various fields of education are used by stakeholders across the world, working in all dimensions of education. We are therefore extremely proud that this year's UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report -focusing on migration, displacement and education - includes no less than THREE references to PPMI's study on "Preparing Teachers for Diversity: The Role of Initial Teacher Education". Our study was commissioned by DG EAC in 2017 and explored to what extent existing teacher training programmes in Europe succeed in preparing future teachers for increasing diversity in their classrooms and societies overall. You can find UNESCO’s report here and our study here.
