Ministry of Social Security and Labour publishes PPMI report on FEAD implementation in Lithuania

Ministry of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania has just published results of structural evaluation of final beneficiaries of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) conducted by PPMI. To assess the relevance and efficiency of the FEAD programme PPMI team conducted representative surveys of 70 partner organisations and 1072 final beneficiaries receiving food packages and interviews with municipalities and NGOs.

The evaluation resulted in a set of conclusions and recommendations aimed at addressing the poverty problem more efficiently, increasing the availability and promptness of assistance, preventing stigmatisation of final beneficiaries, promoting positive attitudes towards food packages and increasing the efficiency of food distribution.

Acknowledging a job well done, Artūras Bytautas, a representative of the Lithuanian Ministry of Social Security and Labour, noted that it is a pleasure to cooperate with PPMI researchers, since they always go the extra mile and deliver quality outputs.

Full version of evaluation report is available on FEAD programme in Lithuania website.
