PPMI successfully completed its first project for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia! The Ministry has received a loan from the World Bank to conduct a comprehensive reform of its education system, from early childhood education to higher education. To support the reforms of Early Childhood Education, PPMI was contracted to conduct a Diagnostic Study of Early Childhood Education in Georgia, to identify the main gaps in access, quality and equity.
Together with the International Step by Step Association, Ilia State University, and independent experts, we carried out interviews, observations, focus groups and a nation-wide study to gather insights into the state of ECE in the country. Based on the findings, we provided detailed recommendations addressing different dimensions and levels of ECE.
Over the next years, these recommendations will be used to implement new systems and policies to support ECE!
