Migration and Mobility Projects
Migration between countries has become more intensive and varied due to globalisation, decreasing transport costs, modern information technologies, development of social networks and transnational diasporas. It has profound demographic, economic and human capital effects both on home and host countries. PPMI’s research focuses on migration statistics, micro and macro factors of migration, national and international migration policies, integration of immigrants into the labour market and education systems. We undertake policy-oriented research providing evidence-based solutions to stakeholders and informing the public debate. We can help to develop policy monitoring systems and evaluate the impacts of migration-related policies on the economy and society as a whole.
