About us

PROFESSIONALISM. We aspire for quality in solving public policy problems by applying state of the art theoretical knowledge & expertise and following the principals of transparency, openness & responsibility to society.

COLLABORATION. We continuously learn from each other, our partners, clients and leading experts in the field.

CURIOSITY. Openness to new ideas and passion for exploring new frontiers is the basis for innovation in our services and keeping them up-to-date with the needs of our public sector clients.

HAPPY OFFICE. We care and actively promote a good work environment and each other's well-being.

Since 2001, the Institute's research and advice has contributed to the improvement of public policies in Lithuania and the EU. We work with our clients to help them make evidence-based decisions, develop their administrative capacities, innovate, improve performance and provide the best value to the society. The work carried out at PPMI has supported policy change in many fields, such as higher education, vocational education and training, public administration, economy, R&D policy, employment and social policy.

Our research and advice affects public policies and, thereby, the lives of many. Therefore, we strive for excellence in everything we do. In 2008, the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania awarded PPMI the status of private research institute, in recognition of our record in applied social science research. PPMI is an active member of the Knowledge Economy Forum and takes part in numerous working groups and commissions (such as Sunset commission and Lithuanian Government Commission on Better Regulation). Several of the Institute's researchers teach at Vilnius University.

The skills and knowledge of our team is the most precious resource and the best investment. To remain relevant and useful we learn every day from our colleagues, clients and leading scholars in the field. We are open to new ideas and work continuously to improve our tools and methods. We welcome job applications from creative and motivated individuals at various stages of their career.

Around 80 per cent of our revenue comes from the services we provide for EU institutions (such as European Commission and European Parliament), EU decentralised agencies (such as Cedefop and Eurofound) and other EU bodies (such as Committee of the Regions). We work in various languages and countries and are part of a wide network of partners across Europe.

Our ISO 9001:2008-certified Quality Management System (QMS) helps us to deliver quality services. The QMS promotes a systematic approach and continuous improvement. The system is externally audited every year and re-certified every three years by Bureau Veritas – a global leader in testing, inspection and certification.
